Pop Quiz…What’s ELOP?

The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program, or ELOP, is a California state-funded initiative that supports enrichment learning for TK–6 students outside of the regular school day. The program focuses on hands-on, student-centered experiences that complement classroom instruction and encourage exploration.

ELO-P is designed to support students’ academic growth, social-emotional development, physical well-being, and creative expression, making arts, movement, and enrichment-based classes an essential part of the program. Click here to see the official CDE website.

Understanding Prop 28

Proposition 28 is a California voter-approved initiative that provides ongoing funding to expand access to arts and music education for K–12 students. The funding supports high-quality instruction in music, visual arts, dance, theater, and related creative disciplines, with an emphasis on equity and access.

Proposition 28 allows schools to partner with qualified arts education providers to deliver hands-on, skill-based learning experiences that build creativity, confidence, and self-expression. Click here to see the official CDE website.

All MMA teachers must meet strict health and safety requirements that include mandatory health screenings and fingerprint clearances. These measures are in accordance with the current laws and district policies governing school personnel.
